How to Make The Best Cozy From-Scratch Cinnamon Coffee Creamer With Real Ingredients That Rivals Your Favorite Store Bought Versions!
Hi! If youโve been following me for long youโll already know this, but for those who are new, welcome to Far From The Farm. Iโm Mona, the Brit behind the recipes, learning life and food in the States while sharing our debt-free journey and whatโs on the menu in our home today!
When I first moved from the UK to the US, coffee culture was one of those small daily surprises I did not expect. Back home, coffee at home usually meant milk and maybe a biscuit on the side.
Here in the States, creamers are their own category entirely. Shelves of flavors. Seasonal releases. Cinnamon roll, birthday cake, pumpkin spice, you name it!
Some smell incredible. Some taste good. Most come with ingredient lists that feel more like chemistry homework than breakfast.
This cinnamon roll coffee creamer was born out of a very specific request from my husband. He wanted a homemade creamer that made it feel like we were not living on a strict budget.

Something indulgent. Something that rivaled his favorite cinnamon roll flavored creamers from the store. And ideally, something that did not include a list of ingredients neither of us could pronounce!
One thing I have learned through trial and error is that the key to recreating those bold, bakery-style flavors at home is often more flavoring than you think you should use.
One tablespoon of cinnamon and one tablespoon of vanilla sounds like a lot. It feels excessive when you measure it out. But something happens when the mixture is gently heated.
The sharp edges mellow. The flavors blend. What you end up with is warm, sweet, and unmistakably cinnamon roll.
Close your eyes while your coffee brews and it might feel a little like walking past a Cinnabon in the mall!
As a military family on baby step 2 of our debt free journey, we are making more things at home wherever we can. Not because we want to feel deprived, but because stretching our grocery budget gives us breathing room.
Little swaps like homemade coffee creamer add up over time, and they let us enjoy the things we love without the constant drip of small expenses.
And just a reminder that if you’re struggling and you need help with managing your budget or starting your own debt free journey then here’s some FREE resources below you may find helpful!

- Measuring jugs, cups and spoons
- Glass bottle or jar with lid
- Funnel
Available on Amazon.com [ad]
Ingredients

Makes about 2 cups
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk (whole, low fat, or dairy free)
- 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk (4 tbsp)
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
Step By Step Instructions
Step one:
Add the heavy cream, milk, sweetened condensed milk, and ground cinnamon to a small saucepan.

Step two:
Whisk well to fully disperse the cinnamon before heating. This helps prevent clumps later.
Step three:
Place the saucepan over low to medium heat. Heat gently until the mixture is steaming but not boiling.
Step four:
Stir frequently while heating to keep the cinnamon evenly suspended and prevent scorching.
Step five:
Once steaming, remove the saucepan from the heat.

Step six:
Stir in the vanilla extract while the mixture is still hot. This is where the flavors really start to bloom.
Step seven:
Allow the creamer to cool slightly in the pan so it thickens just a touch.
Step eight:
Use a funnel to pour the creamer into a clean glass bottle or jar.

Step nine:
Let cool completely, then seal and refrigerate.
Step ten:
Shake gently before each use and enjoy in your favorite coffee.

Why French Press Coffee?
French press coffee, or cafetiรจre style coffee as we more commonly refer to it back home, is far more common in cafรฉs across Europe. It produces a fuller, richer cup that pairs beautifully with homemade creamers like this one.
I still love using our Le Creuset French press each morning. There is something grounding about slowing down just enough to enjoy a proper cup of coffee, especially when it is finished with a homemade cinnamon roll creamer that tastes like a treat.
