Make This Tasty Chocolate Peanut Butter Reeseโs Style Fudge Recipe With Just Four Ingredients!
Thereโs Just Something About That Cabela’s Fudge!
Hi! If youโve been following me for long youโll already know this, but for those who are new, welcome to Far From The Farm. Iโm Mona, the Brit behind the recipes, learning life and food in the States while sharing our debt-free journey and whatโs on the menu in our home today!
One of my favorite places to go since I’ve been visiting (and now living in) the States has always been Cabela’s! It’s just such a fun place to visit, totally different culture to what I’m used to back home, amazingly friendly staff, delicious foods and gifts a-plenty. You don’t need to be ‘country’ to enjoy a trip there!
But has anyone ever really gotten over Cabela’s closing their deli post-covid? Aww man. I know they technically still sell the fudge, but sitting in their cozy cafรฉ with a fresh piece and a drink just hit different.
It felt like the kind of simple joy that made you stop, chat, and actually enjoy your treat instead of rushing through it.
Iโll say it boldly – this is a solid rival to that famous Cabela’s Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge! Itโs smooth, rich, and layered with that classic peanut butter taste that reminds you of a Peanut Butter cup dream.

We started making this at home one weekend to use up leftover cans of condensed milk and, wow, itโs become a keeper.
Itโs also one of those fun little dessert recipes that doesnโt need perfection. The kids can stir, you can pour, and somehow it still turns out beautiful every time.
Making things at home is one of the best ways you can save money. Which matters a lot as a military family on baby step 2 of our debt free journey.
And just a reminder that if you’re struggling and you need help with managing your budget or starting your own debt free journey then here’s some FREE resources below you may find helpful!

Available on Amazon.com [ad]
Ingredients (Serves 12 Large Pieces)

- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 4 cups milk chocolate chips
- 4 tbsp peanut butter
- 1/4 cup salted butter
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1
Start by lining your 8×8 glass baking dish with parchment paper. I like to let mine hang slightly over the edges so itโs easy to lift out later.
Once itโs in place, give the paper a quick spritz of cooking oil. That little bit of prep makes all the difference when itโs time to slice your fudge later on.
Step 2
Grab a medium saucepan and toss in everything the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, peanut butter, and butter.

Keep the heat on low to medium and stir gently but often.

The trick is not to rush it. Let everything melt down slowly into one silky, shiny mixture. If it starts to bubble or smell toasty, turn the heat down right away.
Fudge likes to be treated gently!

Step 3
Once itโs smooth and glossy, pour that gorgeous mixture into your prepared pan. Use your spatula to spread it evenly and smooth the top.
Itโll begin to set fairly quickly, so donโt fuss too much trying to make it perfect. Itโs homemade fudge so a few ripples just show itโs made with love.

Step 4
Set the dish aside to cool at room temperature until itโs no longer warm to the touch. Cooling it slowly like this keeps the texture soft and creamy.
Once itโs cooled completely, cover the dish tightly with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours. Overnight is best if youโve got the patience!
Step 5
When itโs firm, lift it out using the parchment paper overhang and place it on a cutting board or suitable surface.

Slice into cubes with a sharp knife. We usually make 12 chunky pieces because they feel like a proper treat, but you can cut them smaller if youโre gifting or sharing.
Step 6
Store the fudge in an airtight container or bag in the fridge where itโll stay rich and creamy for up to a week – not that it usually lasts that long!
Notes and Troubleshooting
Notes:
This fudge is very forgiving. You can mix in crushed peanuts or swirl in a little white chocolate for a twist. Just keep the base ratio of condensed milk to chocolate the same.
Troubleshooting:
If your fudge seems grainy, it was probably cooked on too high a heat. Keep your stove low and stir gently. If itโs too soft, pop it back in the fridge for an extra few hours.
Storage
Keep refrigerated in an airtight container for up to a week. You can also freeze it for up to two months. Thaw overnight in the fridge before serving.
Serving Ideas
Serve chilled or at room temperature with a glass of milk, hot cocoa, or coffee. It makes a great gift too – just cut into squares, wrap in parchment, and tie with string for a sweet homemade treat!
