Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk - whole, low fat, or dairy free
  • 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk - 4 tbsp
  • 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract

Equipment

  • Small saucepan
  • Whisk, spoon or mini-frother
  • Measuring jugs, cups and spoons
  • Glass bottle or jar with lid
  • Funnel

Method

  1. Add the heavy cream, milk, and sweetener to a small saucepan.
  2. Heat over low to medium heat until the mixture is steaming but not boiling. Stir occasionally to prevent scorching.
  3. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Allow the creamer to cool completely, then pour into a glass bottle or jar.
  5. Refrigerate and shake well before each use.

Notes

  • This creamer is lightly sweet. Add more sweetener if you prefer a dessert style creamer
  • Pure vanilla extract gives the best flavor
  • The creamer thickens slightly as it chills
  • You can use Maple syrup instead of condensed milk, to sweeten the creamer

Storage

  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 7 days
  • Always keep sealed tightly
  • Do not freeze
