Ingredients

  • 1 & ¼ cups Pretzel twists
  • 1 & ¼ cups Honey Nut Chex cereal
  • 1 cup Honey Nut Cheerios
  • ½ cup Honey roasted peanuts
  • 4.5 oz M&M’s - use any of your choice we - mixed two types
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Equipment

  • spatula
  • mixing bowls
  • Parchment paper
  • Baking Sheet
  • Large glass jar alternatively use airtight containers or snack bags.

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the pretzel twists, Chex cereal, Cheerios, peanuts, and M&M’s.
Mix gently until everything looks evenly combined.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, add the chocolate chips and vegetable oil.
Microwave for 60 seconds, stir, then continue in 30-second bursts until smooth and melted.
  3. Pour the melted chocolate over the cereal mixture and toss carefully with a spatula until everything is completely coated.
  4. Spread the mixture out onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Make sure that there's some overlap between the different elements so that they dry in little clusters rather than separately.
Leave it to dry for about an hour.
  5. Once it’s firm, lift the parchment paper from the sides. It should naturally break apart into nice little clusters.
  6. Store the clusters in a large glass jar or portion them into small cellophane snack bags.
They’re perfect for parties, lunchboxes, or a cozy movie night at home!

Notes

You can swap out candies for any seasonal colors or shapes. Red and green for Christmas, orange and black for Halloween, pastel tones for Easter, or even fun pinks and golds for Valentine’s Day.

Storage

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. If your kitchen runs warm, pop them in the fridge to keep the chocolate firm.
