Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/3 cup milk - whole, low fat, or dairy free
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk - 4 tbsp
  • 1/4 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Equipment

  • Small saucepan
  • Whisk or mini frother
  • Measuring jug, cups and spoons
  • Glass bottle or jar with lid
  • Funnel

Method

  1. Add the heavy cream, milk, unsweetened cocoa powder, sweetened condensed milk, and smooth peanut butter to a small saucepan.
  2. Whisk thoroughly before heating to help break up the cocoa powder and peanut butter.
  3. Place the saucepan over low to medium heat.
  4. Heat gently while whisking often, allowing the peanut butter to melt fully into the mixture.
  5. Continue stirring until the creamer is smooth, glossy, and steaming but not boiling.
  6. Once everything is fully combined, remove the saucepan from the heat.
  7. Stir in the vanilla extract while the mixture is still hot.
  8. Allow the creamer to cool slightly in the pan so it thickens just a bit.
  9. Pour into a clean glass bottle or jar using a funnel.
  10. Refrigerate until fully cooled. Shake gently before each use.

Notes

  • This creamer is rich and bold, not overly sweet
  • Smooth peanut butter works best for texture
  • Heating is essential to fully blend the peanut butter
  • The creamer thickens slightly as it chills

Storage

  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 7 days
  • Keep sealed tightly
  • Do not freeze
  • Shake gently before each use
