Enjoy a British twist on breakfast. These easy pigs in bacon blankets use sausages wrapped in bacon for a protein-packed start to the day!

Ingredients
  

  • 14 14 breakfast sausage links - 1 x 12 oz pack of your favourite brand
  • 7 slices thin cut bacon, halved

Equipment

  • Baking pan with sides
  • Aluminium foil
  • Tongs optional for turning the sausages

Method
 

  1. Preheat and prepare
    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminium foil for easy clean-up.
  2. Wrap the sausages
    Cut each bacon slice in half. Wrap each sausage link tightly with half a strip of bacon, spiraling it so the sausage is as covered as possible.
  3. Arrange on tray
    Place each bacon-wrapped sausage on your prepared baking tray, spaced slightly apart so the bacon crisps up instead of steaming.
  4. Bake
    Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes turning halfway to ensure the bacon get's browned both sides.
  5. Serve hot straight from the tray. They pair beautifully with fried eggs and toast for a protein-packed breakfast, or you can make them part of a bigger brunch spread.
